The Pahang Rangers FC team embarked on a trip to Johor Darul Ta’zim for their first away game of the season. Rivals ever since their path first crossed, the Pahang Futsal team was set to face Johor Darul Ta’zim FC on March 23rd. This was no ordinary match, as the team was facing off against the league’s most formidable opponents on their home ground at Pasir Gudang Indoor Stadium.
On March 23rd, the skuad Tok Gajah was quickly put under pressure as Johor Darul Ta’zim FC lived up to its reputation by scoring a goal during the first minute. The opening goal came from Johor Darul Ta’zim FC’s goalkeeper, who launched the ball from his half, catching Pahang Rangers FC’s goalkeeper off guard and unable to react in time. An unspoken weight hung in the air, heavy with what was to come with the unexpected turn of events.

With plenty of time remaining, the Pahang Rangers FC team quickly charged up to gain its momentum. True to its relentless spirit, the first goal to commemorate the first away game of the season was scored by Felipe de Souza at the 17th minute. However, the relief was short-lived as Johor Darul Ta’zim FC continued to score two goals in the 17th and 19th minutes of the game. Harith Na’im’s goal in the 18th minute left the team with a narrow deficit as the first half ended.
The atmosphere of the second half hummed with unspoken tension, as the scoreline stood at 2-3. At the 34th minute of the second half, Johor Darul Ta’zim scored a goal again, intensifying the match in its last minutes by leading 4-2. Pahang Rangers FC managed to narrow the gap with a free kick by Harith Na’im in the 35th minute of the game, putting the scoreline at 3-4. Despite their efforts, the match ended in favour of Johor Darul Ta’zim FC with a final score of 4-3.

This chapter is not over. Both teams will meet again at the Sukan Pahang Sports Complex (SUKPA) in the coming months. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the fans for their unwavering support for the team. In the meantime, our journey continues with another exciting match against Sabah on April 19th at our home ground!
