Pahang Rangers Invitational Tournament is hosted by Pahang Rangers for its International Friendly Match. The match took place from May 2 to May 5, 2024, with four participating teams namely Sabah FA (Malaysia), Bintang Timur Surabaya (Indonesia), Thai Son Bac (Vietnam) and Pahang Rangers FC (Malaysia). This four-cornered match engulfed Sukan Pahang Sports Complex (SUKPA) in roaring cheers as fans swarmed to witness the Pahang futsal team competing against the three teams for three consecutive days.
The match is organised to foster connections between fellow futsal teams while promoting the bond between the three participating countries. Though the matches were tense as the teams went against each other, the spirit of mutual respect and sportsmanship were still prioritised as players exchanged handshakes and words of encouragement. Not only that, but despite coming from countries of different languages, fans were also united by the synonymous sound of cheers when a goal struck.
Overall, this International Friendly Match manages to reach its objectives. Most importantly, the match also witnesses futsal bringing people together as fans arrive for the same passion, even though they are divided by background, race, and culture. As the final whistle blew, the Sukan Pahang Sports Complex (SUKPA) was then filled with final goodbyes as waves were exchanged to send off all teams, marking the end of the Pahang Rangers Invitational Tournament 2024.
