Shah Alam, August 15 – Pahang Rangers secured another championship victory in the Malaysia Futsal Cup 2023, defeating JDT in a thrilling final at Stadium Malawati last Sunday.
The game began with both teams showing impressive skills, and the first half ended in a 1-1 tie. As time passed, neither team managed to break it, resulting in a 3-3 tie at the end of regular time.
The intensity of the match pushed it into two rounds of extra time. In the first extra time, Pahang Rangers initially took the lead but were closely pursued by JDT. The game ultimately came down to a penalty shootout, with Pahang Rangers winning 3-1.
Zainulzahin Sinuan was named the best goalkeeper of MFC 2023, adding to his recent recognition as the top goalkeeper in MPFL 2023. Iwan Bakri received the most valuable player award, and Amin Nasrollah was the top scorer.
