Pahang Rangers recorded contrasting results in their final two matches of the first round of the MPFL 2026 season, falling short against Selangor before responding with a convincing victory over PFA Odin at Stadium Tertutup SUKPA, Kuantan.
The Rangers faced a tough challenge against Selangor in a closely contested encounter. Despite conceding early, Pahang Rangers showed great fighting spirit to stay in the game. Harith Naim found the back of the net to reduce the deficit, while Syarifuddin and Felipe de Souza added two more goals as the team continued to push until the final whistle. However, Selangor managed to secure the win with a 5-3 scoreline.
Pahang Rangers quickly bounced back in their following match against PFA Odin, delivering a strong performance in front of the home supporters. Captain Akmarulnizam led the attack with two goals, while Felipe de Souza, Tuah Eizlan and Syarifuddin also contributed to the scoresheet as the Rangers sealed a 5-2 victory.
